Jason Banet

Jason Banet is a 28-year-old drifter from Lyon, France who has built his career competing in the European drifting scene. Before drifting, he competed in quad cross, but after several injuries he decided to transition into drifting where his passion for motorsport continued.

Some of the biggest highlights of his career so far include winning two French Drift Championship titles, along with his first participation in Drift Masters competing against some of the top drivers in Europe.

This season he competes in the French Drift Championship with a BMW 1M and in Drift Masters with a Subaru BRZ. Both cars share a similar setup, running 2JZ engines paired with Samsonas sequential gearboxes and Winters differentials. The BMW produces around 900 horsepower while the BRZ produces around 980 horsepower.

Beyond the track, we love to learn a little more about the drivers themselves.

What is your favourite track or circuit to drive and why?

The football stadium in Poland for the walls and the atmosphere.

Any driving tips for beginners?

Believe in your dreams and train as much as possible to reach the highest level.

What hobbies do you have outside of racing?

I practice drifting with my friends.
